The submission of a funding application to the Cree Nation Government, including by an eligible applicant, or the consideration of such funding application by the Cree Nation Government, do not guarantee the provision of funding to such applicant. The Cree Nation Government is not obligated to approve or accept any funding application. The provision of funding is always subject to the terms, conditions, criteria and modalities of the relevant fund, program or policy of the Cree Nation Government, including, among other things: 

1. the maintenance in place of the applicable fund, program or policy and availability of funds;
2. the application criteria and the review and approval process provided under the applicable fund, program or policy, including a favorable decision of the Cree Nation Government, at its entire discretion;
3. the conclusion of a contribution agreement between the Cree Nation Government and the recipient of funding, which shall define the level of contribution, payment schedule, the project, the conditions and modalities of funding, as well as the undertakings of the parties.
